Studying for the LSAT / fun and inspirational topic for LSAT score day!
« on: October 20, 2006, 07:09:34 AM »
For those who have already received a score from the June LSAT or before, who has scored higher than their highest PT score?  Iím curious what the biggest margin is here on LSD.  Iíve been scoring in the low to mid 160s and Iím hoping to score around there (or higher) on the Sept. test, even though I know the chances are slim to score higher (a girl can dream, canít she??).  I thought some good uplifting stories would help us all here today and give us a little hope (at least until 4pm-ish)!!!  ;D

Law School Admissions / Michigan ED Advice Please!!!!!
« on: October 11, 2006, 09:22:06 AM »
I know this has probably been covered before, but I couldn't seem to find any concrete advice when I searched past threads.  Anyway, how much of a bump does one really get for applying ED to Michigan?  The reason I ask is because UM is by far my first choice, but due to financial reasons (timing of financial aid, my partner taking the bar this summer, quitting my career, selling the house, moving the family) I am unable to start in the summer.  I concisely stated all of this at the end of my "Why Michigan" essay, but will they take me seriously?  Should I just apply ED and if I miraculously get in, then scramble to find a way to make it work???

Law School Admissions / Northwestern Application Timing Question!!!!!!
« on: October 09, 2006, 04:43:24 PM »
My Northwestern interview is on Oct. 26.  Do I need to get my application out ASAP so it has time to get there before my interview or do they not even look at your application until the interview is complete?  I noticed on the application there is statement to check off stating, ďMy on-campus interview is scheduled for ___.  Please wait for my interview results before reviewing my application".  So do the interviewers not even ask you stuff relating to app content then?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  If I need to, I can get my app out today or tomorrow, but Iíd rather get my LSAT score first as well as have a few more pairs of fresh eyes go over my packet if possible.  Thanks!!!! :)

I have a somewhat final draft of my PS that I would appreciate a little feedback on.  Any takers???

For the Personal Statement and Diversity Statement, what are the conventions (unless specified)?

Length - 2 pgs for PS and 1 for DS?
Spacing - Double?
Margins - 1 inch?
Font - 11 pt?
Title - none? (what about addenda?)

Anything else I'm forgetting?
