2L job search / Declining Callback interviews

Ok so I was invited for a few callback interviews about 2-3 weeks ago.  I accepted the invitation (before i received my first offer) and I also scheduled travel arrangements. 
A few days after I accepted these invitations I received my first offer and though I have not yet accepted it, I would likely take the offer over any of these other firms. 

Obviously to save time and money I should call them back and decline the callback interviews but I was wondering if I would be responsible for paying the firms back for the airplane tickets.  I'm reading the itinerary and there is a $100 cancellation fee and I was wondering if the firm would have  me pay it off.  If i'm gonna have to pay it off i'll just go to the callback but otherwise i'd really like to clear out my calendar. 

I would appreciate advice from upperclassmen who actually had experience with this.  THanks in advance!

Law Firms / NY biglaw salary raise?

I heard a rumor from a fellow student (meaning the rumor is probably not true) that NY biglaw salaries will raise to $180,000 for the Class of 2009.  Anyone else hear this or is the student just making *&^% up?

General Board / mediocre GPA/rank but on law review

If i have a mediocre GPA and rank (just outside of the top third) but i'm in at law review, what do my job prospects look like if i'm applying for biglaw?  i know a lot of these firms prefer law review/journal but they also want a high GPA/rank.  Is anyone in the same situation or know of anyone with a similar problem?

General Board / Hear back from law review?

Have you all heard back on whether or not you were accepted into law review?  It's been almost 2 months since we've submitted our write-on material and we have yet to hear back.  Is this the norm or is my school particularly slow and incompetent?

There are a lot of job fair applications due Sunday at midnight and I wouldn't be surprised if we don't hear back by then...

General Off-Topic Board / Best place to purchase a new IPOD?

I wanna get an IPOD for someone I know and I was wondering if anyone knew where I can get the best price on a Nano.  the person i'm purchasing the thing for only needs it for music so im' looking to get the standard 2GB nano.  i looked on amazon, buy.com, and a few other places but I was wondering if anyone had any special info on some other site i could look at. 

also im' not interesting in purchasing a refurbished or "factory reconditioned" bull even though it's $30-$40 cheaper...
