I've recently been advised to write an addendum explaining why I didn't show up for the Feb. '05 LSAT (nevermind that I don't have much of an excuse). This got me to thinking about all of my other little flaws....Do I even have a shot at Cooley at this point???

in Feb of '05. It shows up on my LSDAS report at "absent." Do you think law schools will look down on that?

Law School Applications / Date you took the SAT???« on: January 10, 2007, 07:12:11 PM »
The U of H app asks not only for your SAT score but also the month and year in which you took it. I think I took it in the spring of '98 but really, I have no idea. It's been WAY too long. I talked to Collegeboard or whoever regulates the SAT and they said it would be $17.50 and there is no guarantee of even finding that information let alone getting it in time to submit this application before the deadline.
My question is, can I just leave that part blank? 4

Throughout Tulane's app it reads "do not submit a resume or other enclosure in lieu of answering this question in the space provided. Use an electronically attached statement only for information that will not fit below."
Of course, I answered the questions in the space provided, but I also want to attach my resume since it elaborates on my experiences. Bad idea? 5

Let me start by saying that my expectations aren't very high. I'm hoping for 155-160.
That said, I only finished 3 of 4 of the RC passages, and I'm only really confident on one of them. I only finished 3 of 4 of the LG section. And finally, I had to guess on about 7-9 of the Args. I guessed "D" for all of those I didn't get to. Given that my accuracy isn't perfect and time got the best of me on this test, should I cancel and apply next cycle or wait it out? (FYI: I have a 3.6 GPA and want to go to Houston) I really wanted to go to law school next year.

So, I've pretty much been freaking out about the upcoming Dec. 2 since I can't seem to improve my score by even a point, leaving me in the mid150s, and blowing my dreams of top 20 or even top tier law school. So, on the verge of a nervous breakdown, I went to my doctor in the hopes of getting addreall or some other tweak-inducing drug to help me maximize my time. Instead, she told me to "chill the hell out" and prescribed me Ativan. Go figure.

Where should I go next fall? / Am I being unrealistic?« on: October 17, 2006, 06:53:40 PM »
I'd love to make it to a top tier school, but I just can't seem to break a 160 on any of my practice tests. I've got a UG GPA of 3.6 from a small unknown private college. Worked 1 year in the state legislature and 2 as a legal assistant. Great LORs and PS but no ECs.
So far applying to: UT-Austin (my dream....) Washington-Seattle American UC-Hastings USD Houston Miami Denver Colorado-Boulder Do you think I have a decent chance at any of these schools or do I need more safety schools? 10

So, I postponed the 9/30 test to Dec. b/c I didn't feel that PR and 2 months studying was enough prep. So, here I am, nearly a week out from the Sept test date, and I haven't so much as worked one LG. I was SO diligent before and now I just can't seem to regain my focus. WTF?! I'm probabaly just burnt-out, and now that the pressure is off I'm having trouble getting my groove back.
Anyone else experiencing this sort of thing? How do I get over this?
