Law School Admissions / Georgetown PT
« on: March 13, 2007, 03:24:14 PM »
Hi All,

I initially marked both FT and PT but I am thinking that having a job while going to school might be better for me. Should I notify the admissions office that I only want to be considered for PT admission now? Has anybody ever done this before? Thanks!

i didn't think these things actually happened but i guess they do..

first off, i applied to BU during the first week of january but they still hadn't requested my LSAC report. i started to get a little worried so i finally decided to call the admissions office. they looked up my file and explained to me that they had computer systems processing errors in the beginning of the year and that several students application information had not been inputted in the system yet but would be soon. i was like what?? has anybody else had a similar issue?

secondly, this story is even stranger than the first and i won't know what to make of it until monday. anywho, i applied to davis 5 weeks ago and i checked the online status checker 3 days ago and it showed me as being waitlisted. however, today, i receive a status update email stating that i will be ready for review by the adcomm soon and on the status checker, it shows up as "awaiting evaluation" and i can no longer access the link to my waitlist letter. i am going to call on monday to find out what the hell is going on over there in northern cal but they better get their acts straight. i don't appreciate being jerked around! :)

« on: February 06, 2007, 06:01:36 PM » situation is a little complicated to say the least. to make a long story short, I was in law school 6 years ago and completed the entire first year. however, in the middle of school, i had to withdraw due to finances, family emergency etc. now 6 years later, i am reapplying to law school again hoping to start afresh as a 1L. has anybody ever been through a situation like mine or known someone who has? not sure how the admissions office will treat me this cycle and view my prior matriculation record. any productive, thoughtful insight would be appreciated. thanks in advance!

Has anyone heard back from them? Additionally, if you heard back, was there any mention of a law school nominating you?

Studying for the LSAT / Sufficient Necessary Indicators
« on: September 28, 2006, 06:09:18 PM »
Hi All,

I was just wondering whether "depends" counts as a sufficient or necessary indicator or neither in the sentence below:

"Your success depends on your effort."

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
