General Board / Some advice needed about intern/extern
« on: February 08, 2005, 02:48:23 PM »
I am currently a PT evening student and working full time as an engineer for around 10 years now (and I cannot really quit and get some kind of legal experience right now because of monetary reasons for my family). However, I do not want to work in IP or anything related to engineering or technology related law, but rather either family or criminal law.
I am currently in the middle of applying for several internships/externships which are Part time relating to family and criminal law but have run into a wall as to what to say in my coverletter.
I was headed toward something like..."Though I lack legal experience, I have strong analytical skills....[related to work stuff]"
OR "Though I lack experience in Criminal law, I have strong analytical skills because...[related to work stuff]"
Please help me.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.
