Okay- so I have a huge dilemma- I really want to go to GULC (interested in Environmental Law, public Interest and possibly going into politics). However GULC has offered me no $$$ and Northwestern has offered me $60,000.

What should I do? I am am at my wit's end with this decision.

Law School Admissions / The last to go complete
« on: April 02, 2007, 03:42:19 PM »
I am still not complete at Yale, and I was just thinking that I must be one of the last people to go complete. Are many other people still not complete at some of their schools.
After applying to nearly everywhere in early September, I never would have imagined that April could come along and I would still be not complete at a school.

Is anyone going to this?

I will be taking the train up and would love to travel from the station to the reception with someone.

Law School Admissions / Northwestern Status Checker
« on: December 28, 2006, 06:58:28 PM »
Hmmm accepted by Northwestern but the status checker still says no decision. I am little concerned as it seems most other people found out they were accepted by the status checker. I keep rereading my e-mail to make sure, but am still confused and concerned.

Law School Admissions / Studies versus Sciences
« on: November 03, 2006, 12:52:35 PM »
I just looked again at my transcript summary and they have written my major as Environmental Studies instead of Sciences. (LSAC told me weeks ago they would rectify this, and I thought that they had).

The transcript summary has been sent to all schools now with Environmental Studies written instead of sciences. Is this something I should be concerned about and try to rectify or just leave be?

There is a big difference between the two degrees.

Will someone take a quick look at my scholarship essay. I need some eyes unfamilar with my goings on, who can let me know if the lack of chronology is confusing.

Let me know if you can read and I will PM it over.

This is not, I stress, a PS - I can send you the prompt also.

Law School Admissions / Root-Tilden-Kern

I have been searching through past threads but can't find too much useful advice.

What should the RTK essay be like? Should it be similar to a PS, or a more simple autobiography?

Anyone who has been through the process I would love to hear your experiences.

Law School Admissions / Applying early
« on: September 29, 2006, 05:41:57 PM »
I was just thinking- is there any chance applying early could hurt you. I mean applying now with all the keen early birds is likely to put you alongside all the over acheivers. Any chance this might make you look poor by comparison.

Just a random thought.
