Law School Admissions / addendum question; need advice
« on: October 10, 2006, 08:34:12 PM »
i already have an addendum for my gpa (flunked out my first year, came back and got 3.4 over the next four yrs in neurobio), my question is should i write an addendum for my lsat split 162,168 i dont have a great reason, took the test while visiting family in another state maybe more stressed out in an unfamiliar environment.  or should i not write an addendum for both gpa and lsat because it sounds like i'm making a lot of excuses?  which one do you think is more important?  thanks so much for your help, you guys seem to have a grasp on the admissions process.

is anyone putting why law? in their ps for schools that don't specifically ask for it.  i thought this was a no-no but i lawyer friend of mine wondered why i didn't address that in my ps.  any thoughts?

any input 9negative, poositive, whatever) is appriciated.

are you sending one to every school you are applying to, or just the ones that specifically ask for it?  If you aren't sending it to every school, are you incorporating it into your ps otherwise?

Studying for the LSAT / face to face w/ UC reps about mult LSATs
« on: October 06, 2006, 11:25:12 AM »
So, the reps from UCLA, Boalt, Davis, and Hastings came to speak on the campus where I work yesterday and of course I asked the ever elusive mult. LSAT question.  Anywhoo, we know Boalt is straight up going for the highest score, and the other three schools all said, "we continue to see all scores, but our emphasis will be placed on the highest LSAT, and that will be the score of record in your file."

YAY!!!  Thought you all would want to know since I think the three UCs besides Boalt had been very ambiguous on the subj.  Good Luck!!

i am writing about my research background in neurobiology and i have done extensive animal research.  is talking about the specifics dangerous in my it possible there will be animal activists on the adcom boards that will hate me if they know i operated on rats or is that something that could help me stand out?
