Law School Admissions / Yale is calling again...

I just got a voicemail message from their Director of Admissions telling me to call him back.  I am shaking with anticipation.  I hope it's good news!

Law School Admissions / In at Stanford
« on: December 04, 2006, 01:40:48 PM »
Via voice mail message and e-mail about half an hour ago.  Still in shock....

I just realized that none of my three academic recommenders are currently at my alma mater.  It's only been two years since I've graduated, but one has retired, another has taken a job in a different state, and the third has moved to university in Europe.  I hope that adcomms will understand...

I just noticed on the LSAC website that several schools aren't accepting LORs yet for this term (i.e., Yale, Harvard, etc.).  Does anyone know the reason for this delay, and when they'll start accepting?

I just finished drafts of my personal statement and diversity statement, and would love to get some readers.  I'd also be willing to trade PS or DS with other people who are looking.

PM me or post here. They're kind of long so if you're interested in reading one or both.

Law School Admissions / unsolicited diversity statements??
« on: July 07, 2006, 01:27:32 PM »
For schools that only ask for one statement on their application (i.e., Columbia), are people planning on submitting just a personal statement or send in an additional diversity statement as well?  On LSN, it looks like lots of applicants sent diversity statements to schools whether or not they asked for it on the application.  Will those get read?  Or should I just stick to one single PS?

Thanks in advance!

Studying for the LSAT / Classification of Jun 06 Logic Games
« on: June 16, 2006, 08:12:08 AM »
Just out of curiosity, how would the games section be classified under the LG Bible classifications?

I thought it was 2 basic linear games (International Films, Computer Chips) and two undefined grouping games (Mail, Summer Courses) but that seems kind of weird.  Were the game types really that simple?

Studying for the LSAT / Certifying statement for LSAT

Do you have to write this out when you check in, right before you begin the test, or after you take the test?  That little paragraph is actually a hassle to have to write out!
