Law School Applications / GULC: Is no news really good news?
« on: January 08, 2008, 06:27:12 PM »
I applied PT/FT in mid-November. I have yet to hear anything, but lots of people who applied around the same time (many after) with better numbers have been rejected and waitlisted according to LSN. This is surprising, because GULC has a reputation of being much more number-whorish than other schools. I almost have some hope or something. What gives?

Actually, now that I think about it, I've had the same experience with Michigan and NU, but they haven't rejected anyone yet. GULC has rejected quite a few.

They haven't rejected anyone yet according to LSN, but I'm pretty sure I'm in that first batch.

Complete since the end of November. Haven't heard a thing.

I don't know why I'm even holding out hope anymore. They're now on break and almost everyone last year in a similar situation as I'm in now was rejected or waitlisted.

I don't think my neuroses can temper an extended layoff. Please tell me they'll be back to work the day after Christmas, ty.

Law School Applications / Cornell Status: Early Action Deferral
« on: December 13, 2007, 07:15:27 PM »
Did anyone else who applied near the EA deadline have their status change today from "Applied" to "EA Deferral"? I kind of expected this, but when I called in late November, they assured me that all applications completed (with or without dean's certs) by the end of November would be considered as EA. Do you think it's wise to call and ask if I'm still being considered for EA? Cornell's online status check has been less than clear throughout this entire process.
