Oklahoma City U / Need help with apartment hunting
« on: April 12, 2011, 02:47:41 AM »
Hi! I've been accepted to OCU Law but am from Texas and am not familiar in the least bit with what it's like to live in Blackwelder/Oklahoma City. I'm looking for the SAFEST apartments available. Ones that are in walking distance from campus would be awesome. Can any OCU Law students help me out with this? So far I am considering Cokesbury Court and Copperfield. Any opinions on either of these apartments or any other ones you've lived in/heard of/even drove by? I could use the help/advice, so please let me know what you think! Thanks a bunch!

Oklahoma City U / Overall living/atmosphere
« on: April 11, 2011, 03:50:14 AM »
Hi everyone, I was just accepted to OCU and am in the process of determining if I should attend. The other law school I'm considering is California Western School of Law. I'm waiting to hear back from Texas Tech. I live in Texas but my sister lives in San Diego (down the street from Cal West.) The San Diego atmosphere is amazing but the law school is expensive and I'm not sure if I could transition back into a career in Texas if I decide to go to Cal West. On the other hand I've been awarded a good scholarship at OCU. But I'm not sure what It's like to live in the Oklahoma area or attend this law school. I will not have a car my first year and will therfore have to walk or take public transportation to law school. Does anyone know if there are apartments close to the campus and what they are like? What about how Blackwelder (spelling?) is like overall? Any opinions on which law school would prove most beneficial? All relevant responses welcome! Thanks!

Reviews, Visits, and Rankings / Late applicant to Texas Tech, Help!
« on: April 04, 2011, 01:17:42 AM »
Hi everyone, I have a few questions and would be grateful for any kind of relevant response!
First, I applied late (about three weeks or so) to Texas Tech. Any Texas Tech law students have an opinion on what my chances are of getting in? Do you know if the admissions board considers late applicants? My GPA is a 3.0 and my LSAT score was a 152.
Secondly,
I've been accepted to California Western School of Law, Oklahoma City School of Law and Phoenix School of Law. Anyone have opinions on these schools and which one is best to attend? My concerns include debt and the possibility of future job prospects. Again all opinions welcome, help me out!! Thanks.
