I have had fairly sporadic employment during my life, and have sizable gaps in my employment history; I have also been unable to find work since getting my undergraduate degree last May. When writing the resume for law school, how should I address this, if at all?

I received an academic warning in my second semester in college (2 Ds in Multivariate Calc and Calc-based Physics) and as such need to submit a C&F. The following year was also a bit rough on my GPA, but my last 2 years in school i averaged about a 3.4 (I am a splitter - 2.92/170).
Anyway, I am wondering whether I should go in depth about why this occurred--I developed a pretty serious, prolonged case of insomnia (which was actually diagnosed and medicated after several months) that led to a pretty substantial drop off in my academic performance thanks in large part to my roommate's snoring (it was pretty bad, if I had a recording of it, you would probably sympathize). I feel like this risks sounding like I'm just making excuses though; would I be better off just saying something about making mistakes but now I'm more mature and point towards my substantially better performance in the last 2 years in school? Any constructive input would be much appreciated. 3

I got a 170 on the February test, and am set to graduate from UVA this May, but it looks like my GPA won't be over 2.9 (Major may be 3.4+ though, not sure if that matters). EDIT: Major is a BA in Psychology
My question is where can I go? I know that my LSAT is competitive for some of the top schools, but my GPA is well under the 25th percentile at pretty much every school. Obviously it's too late for admission this coming Fall, and I am planning on taking a year or two off working as a paralegal or some other related job (hopefully). Essentially, I had three pretty bad semesters early in school, and since then I've done significantly better. I also think that I have reasonable explanations for all three of them. Considering this, where should I get in, and where might I get in? More specifically, can I reasonably expect to get into William and Mary (Virginia resident), BC, or BU, or better schools? And if not what should I shoot for? Thanks, and any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
