hey guys, I don't know if you noticed this, but I did! Why did they put up a picture of Wilder Valderrama on the LSAC website? I mean what does he have to do with going to law school? Did he attend law school before becoming an actor?? I don't get it.
I put in an application to join the Chicago Linguistic Society (An organization where linguists and scholars working in related disciplines can present their work). I guess ebonics doesn't qualify as a language (in their opinion). Oh well! Hopefully I have better luck with my HLS (Heartland Livestock Services) application. I'm an expert in Animal intercourse, NOT due to first hand experience. Calm down you perverts. Good luck to you all. Hail Xenu!!!

Here is the deal. I applied to Harvard Law school back in November, and I still haven't heard anything back from them. I contacted the office and they told me that the adcomms are still reviewing my application. Is this normal?? I mean haven't they had enough time to review the application and make a decision by now?? I figure they should know by now what the admissions pool looks like, and could waitlist me if they don't want to reject me. I don't know what's going on, I feel like I've been waiting forever. I can't imagine what could take so long. Everyone that I've talked to that applied earlier, same time, or later have received some type of answer. To make it even worse, I applied in November 1989, Shouldn't they have made a decision by now?? I'm really disappointed by this whole process, especially with HLS.
So I called the office on Wednesday, hoping that I can get some kind of answer. They told me to check back about a week ago, so I followed up. I asked if they had any news about my application, and they said I would be getting a letter in the mail shortly. I received the letter in the mail about 2 days later, and I couldn't believe it!! Waitlisted!! I don't get it, I filled out the application, I meet all of their requirements, and I get waitlisted. My numbers are way above the qualifying average. The crazy thing is that they want me to put down a deposit, for a waitlist?? I don't get it; they said putting down a deposit ensures me a seat when one becomes available. I really want my Mercedes-Benz CLS 500 now, but I guess it's on back order, and they won't be receiving any of them this month. This really sucks!! Hopefully, I'll have mine soon. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone on this site. Good luck with CLS

So I get this call today from the Dean of Admissions at Southwestern in Los angeles. He said he was really impressed with my credentials, but unfortunately he can't offer me a scholarship. He said we could work something out, so you guys tell me what you think? He said that in addition to free coffee from the Cafeteria on MWF, he'll let me have his volvo on the weekends, with a $20 allowance on his gas card. Also, he said, that he'll take notes for me for one of my classes each semester AND I can park in his spot on his days off (but that doesn't matter cuz I have a bicycle) He could tell that I was a little hesitant, so he said he'd throw in some pencils and an eraser. I don't know, what do you guys think? I wouldn't mind hitting up hollywood in a Volvo station wagon, and who can resist free coffee??? Give me some feedback. Thanks guys!

I didn't think I had a chance when I applied, but I said what the hell? Imagine my surprise/amazement/shock!! when I got the call this morning. It was a call from Newhaven telling me that I was IN!! Bob Newhaven from Geico auto insurance told me that even with the points on my driving record, he had good news, he could save me a bunch of money on my car insurance. I'm so thrilled, I still can't believe it. To all those that are still anxiously awaiting that call, keep hope alive.
