...he then went on to issue a signing statement with his intent to disregard the law.

If this weren't so serious it would be pretty funny.

Interesting. I'm curious as to what the ABA is authorized to do (if anything) at the end of the investigation.

I was googling "lsat add diagnosis" when I stumbled upon this interesting article. I tried searching for further information, but came up empty. The suit was filed 6 years ago, anyone know what happened?

General Off-Topic Board / Serena Southerlyn was a lesbian?
« on: January 28, 2006, 11:33:37 PM »
Maybe those of you who watch L&O can answer this for me.

Quote
D.A. Arthur Branch: [to Serena] "You're fired."
ADA Serena Southerlyn: [pauses, shocked] "Is this because I'm a lesbian?"
D.A. Arthur Branch: "No, no... of course not."

Did she ever do or say anything that would suggest she was a lesbian?

General Off-Topic Board / Summer plans
« on: January 02, 2006, 02:00:15 AM »
For the past few summers I've been aimless. I held a job here and there, but nothing substantive. I want this summer to be different. Right now I'm thinking about doing some kind of volunteer work in a third world country (teaching English, working with orphans and the poor) or joining Habitats for humanity. If you know of any worthwhile programs/activities specifically, please share.

Edit: Oh yeah, I'm currently a senior in high school.
