2L job search / How was OCI?
« on: September 13, 2010, 11:44:14 PM »
IMO, OCI is a complete sham unless you are in a Top school these days.  The firms show up knowing they aren't hiring anybody from a lower tiered school.  The "interviews" are a joke.  They just sit and B.S. with you about nonsense for about 15 minutes and say goodbye.  It's not even interview experience, because they don't really interview you.  No one is getting any callbacks here.  I'm on LR, Top 10%, rejected everywhere so far.  Hope it's better for others out there.  Any info?

Transferring / Does the timing of decision indicate anything?

Do schools tend to send out acceptances before rejections or do they do it alphabetically, in the order of receipt or is it just a massive cluster F?

Transferring / Summer Credits from old school
« on: June 29, 2010, 01:52:11 PM »
So if the transfer school doesn't allow more than 29/30 credits and I am doing an externship to get 3 credits will that affect anything?  I am doing it because if I get rejected and don't transfer, it helps lighten the load in the Fall.  But will the transfer school say I have too many credits?  The class isn't done until end of July and decisions on transfers have to be in by July 15th.  I don't think it will matter since the credits haven't been applied at the time I applied to the school but if it is an issue I wonder if I could just drop the class and take an incomplete one I know I am accepted.  What do u think?
