Pre-Law in high school / Should I go to pre-law

I realize that a lawyer is in it for the money, and i believe I have the skills to be a good lawyer. However, I've heard horror stories. My questions are, are there jobs as a lawyer, and should I go through the whole process-is it worth it? Also, do you need to be a lib. arts major to get into law school- how many english courses do you need to take in college?If anyone has any imput, please reply.
