Law School Applications / LSAC Forums

Is there any advantage to attending an LSAC Forum? I know there is one coming up in Chicago, which isn't too far away for me.

Has anyone heard of attending one of the forums helping their chances? My friend met a Dean there and received a personal email from him afterward. Do you think it is worth the time? I'll make the trip if I think it could help my chances at a top school.

Is there any sort of trick to getting extra fee waivers? I have received a couple, but I am applying a lot of schools and it's going to be terribly expensive.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Where should I go next fall? / Should I ED a school?

I am a senior at a private school with a 3.5 GPA (which would be higher, ~3.9, without some freshmen pre-med grades) and a 169 LSAT. I have some great softs and good letters of recommendation. I would love to get into a Top 5, but I know my chances are low up there.

I've considered ED for another Top 10 school. Should I try to ED that school, assuming the Top 5 will be rejecting me? I know the ED does not weigh heavily on admissions, but it does add a tiny boost.

I would be upset to not get into a Top 10 school, but at the same time, I might be more distraught if I were to get into the ED school and not know what kind of shot I had at a Top 5.

I know this post is a bit vague, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
