Choosing the Right Law School / LSAT splitters experiences and $$
« on: October 28, 2009, 07:51:26 PM »

170 LSAT, 2.6 GPA.

I'd like to stay in California, but I've heard that the schools here favor GPAs, any true to this? other than "cast a wide net" it seems to be it.

Anyone knows how being a splitter affects scholarships?

Also, how accurate is the lsac admissions calculator for splitters?

Law School Admissions / Law schools in San Diego 170 LSAT, 2.61 GPA
« on: October 16, 2009, 08:11:41 PM »
Ok, now armed with a real LSAT score, any opinions on my chances and any experiences on SAN DIEGO, CA Law Schools?

My LSAT score is 170 and my GPA an unimpressive 2.61.

Any experiences as applicants or students of the 3 SD Schools? Jefferson, Cal Western and USD?

Any advice or opinions are appreciated.

Thank you

Studying for the LSAT / JUNE 2009 LSAT Vs. Previous Prep Tests
« on: September 08, 2009, 10:55:19 PM »

For the last three weeks my score in the prep tests has been in the 174-177 range. However, I took the June 2009 prep test yesterday and I plummeted to 162 !!! I've been using tests from the 10's all through the 56th. The games killed me on this one, and I missed many more LR. Anyone with a similar experience with recent tests? Any tips are greatly appreciated, I'm taking the LSAT in September 26.

PS. I took the prep test 51 today, 172. Can't figure out what happened in 57...

Law School Admissions / 2.6 GPA, 164 LSAT
« on: July 15, 2009, 08:00:43 PM »

Anyone who is familiar with this situation, I appreciate your opinions... :)

I calculated my lsdas gpa, it is a terrible 2.6 (should be 2.8 when I finish college).
My first two years of college (a few years ago) were terrible, my last two years is
almost all As.

I've been scoring 163-165 in the recent LSAT prep tests.

Anyone with similar stats? I'm looking at California Law Schools.

Hello everyone...

I am planning to apply to a CA law School next year. And I am still gathering info and practicing for the LSAT.
I've scored between 155 - 16and 163 (only 2 weeks practice, very weak on analytical, working on it)
My GPA is 2.9,  (Lower division is very bad, upper division almost all A with a three year gap)

I am a minority and have four years work experience in Social Services and involved in a local commnunity organization

Anyone familiar or with experience in a similar situation? I am looking at Thomas Jefferson and California Western in
SD part-time programs, also considering Southwester in LA.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)
