Where should I go next fall? / How long to wait before giving up

I've been waiting to hear from UGA for over five months. Should I just give up since I was a borderline candidate to begin with? Or is it a positive sign that they haven't rejected me yet? An acceptance would completely change everything for me, so it was frustrating to talk to the admissions office and have them basically say "we'll get to it when we get to it." Is anyone else in the same boat with any other schools? Has anyone gone longer than six months without hearing anything?

I've done a search already, but most conversations have to do with Alabama's reputation in the south, football, and Tuscaloosa. This is all helpful, but does anyone have any specific information about the program (i.e. quality of professors, clinical opportunities, overall strengths or weaknesses, academic atmosphere, etc.)? Thanks for any info.

I got the letter on Monday. 3.05/162, and a resident. They were my first choice due to the in-state tuition, but I'm actually happy to be forced out to a new area.

Where should I go next fall? / Degree granting GPA

I saw elsewhere on the site that Colorado-Boulder only looks at your degree granting GPA. Does anyone know if any other tier 1 or tier 2 schools do the same? This may be posted elsewhere, but I couldn't find anything.

Does anybody know much about these two schools? I know that they are great for environmental law, but is there any other reason to go there? One major drawback for me is that I hate hippies.

Wonderin' what my chances are. I'm applying this weekend and I haven't narrowed it down yet. I know some are a stretch, but why not?

-Indiana (Bloomington)
-Arizona
-Alabama
-Georgia
-Oregon
-Wisconsin
-Emory
-Notre Dame

Worked 30 hours/week during school, majored in Finance, and currently working as a paralegal with awesome experience. PS is strong (about becoming a father recently). Optional essay on 2 years of missionary service with a lot of leadership experience(LDS, you better reconotice). The Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at Iowa, Eric Andersen, told me that Iowa loves LDS missionaries, and that they send him to the law school fairs in Utah to recruit them through his church connections. Rather strange, but if it helps me I love it. Any feedback on my chances at these schools would be much appreciated. Thanks.
