Law School Applications / Withdrawing from Schools AFTER Acceptance
« on: February 15, 2010, 05:57:05 PM »
Hey Guys and girls,
I've been accepted to  a number schools, but I have now made my decision. Can you please tell me the best way to withdraw from schools? I was thinking of sending an email to the office of admissions. Do I need to put my LSAC number or SSN in the email. I'm not too sure how people do it.

Much Love

Recommendations / LOR Dilemma--plzzz help
« on: October 16, 2009, 01:13:50 AM »
So here's the story, and I am really really  stressed out about this. So much so I broke down at work, leading to my Dilemma:

I asked my college professors for LOR. One was in back in July, another was supposed to be in 2wks ago. My professor, has NOT RESPONDED to any of my emails, asking her about the LOR and if she has sent it back to LSAC. I have sent in all my apps to all my 24 schools, with the exception of five that don't require 2LOR, the rest have told me they are waiting for the LOR.

I asked my boss if she could write me the LOR because this professor has gone M.I.A and only GOD knows where she is and if she is getting my emails. My question is this: Since I have only been out of school for 1yr how bad does it look to drop my second professor(who is now M.I.A but is now teaching at Yale)for my boss? I am mainly concerned about going complete late in the cycle.

Law School Applications / UC Berkeley--LOR HELP plzzz read
« on: October 01, 2009, 09:33:55 PM »
so here is my situation:
I have all my essays and resume and what-not done and ready to be loaded. I have also received one of my LOR from a former Professor (at a UC). The other Prof. I asked for a recommendation, recently started teaching at Yale and is no longer at my UC campus, she said she will not have the LOR in until 1.5 to 2wks from now.

Here's my question:

For schools that only ask for one LOR or none(like Berkeley), is it worth going complete as early as next week or waiting for a second LOR from a Yale Prof. Mine you, I think they will both write great things that are about the same, they both loved me and I did research with them. The only thing is that is one LOR from a UC prof.(not LA or Berkeley) just as good as two LOR when one comes from a Yale prof?

please help, I can possible be complete at some of these schools as early as next week if I'm not been such a school whore.

Personal Statement / Berkeley's 4pgs
« on: August 16, 2009, 12:21:57 PM »
So I am currently working on my PS. I will be using the same or about the same ones for all the colleges. I know Berkeley  wants a 4pger, how important is it to actually write a 4pger. My PS right now is about 21/2pgs and this is most likely were it will stay.

And help will be greatly appreciated.
