I am a 1L that just finished my first semester at Touro, after grades came back i finished with a 3.65 gpa, which included a Cali Award in Torts.  I was curious what my options would be if i was to consider transferring,i do want to remain in the NY area.  Thanks for any input

Current Law Students / RomLaw
« on: August 26, 2009, 06:47:25 PM »
Today i received an ad for this database called RomLaw and went online and have downloaded a free trial.  They have casebriefs keyed to each casebook as well as a law dictionary and other study/exam aids.  I was curious if anyone else uses the product and if they have had success with it before i decide to shell out the 59 bucks for the year.

Choosing the Right Law School / Touro ($$$) vs. Mercer
« on: May 15, 2009, 12:54:21 PM »
I have been accepted to Touro with a $12,000 annual scholarship.  Today i received an acceptance letter from Mercer with no Scholarship.  I know Mercer is Higher Ranked, but i do intend to stay in NY after graduation.  I love the city of Atlanta also and would not mind staying there either.  Would Mercer open the door for a job in Atlanta?  Also i would have no living expenses if i go with Touro.  I am interested in government and/or public interest.  I am also waiting on CUNY as well.  Any advice on which route i should take.  I thank everyone in advance for your input

Choosing the Right Law School / CUNY Queens College
« on: March 24, 2009, 06:25:30 PM »
I am curious what the Opinion is of CUNY Queens College, as i decided to apply there and am interested in attending.  I know it is a T4, but the tuition is roughly 1/3 of what it is at other schools i have applied to (Hofstra, Touro, St. John's). I should add that i am primarily interested in Public Interest or Government work and do not have Biglaw aspirations.  I was curious if going to CUNY would open the door for these opportunities or if i would be better off attending the others.
