I was just wondering how easy it is to transfer from part-time to full-time at McGeorge. Is anyone in this situation or has been? The person in admissions said I'd have to talk to the dean about it, but it's possible. At USD they said it's simply up to the student, but I've heard some schools make it difficult to transfer. I don't want to be stuck at part-time for more than a year if I choose not to. Any insight?

Choosing the Right Law School / Cal Western or McGeorge

Hey guys!

I know from rankings alone, choose McGeorge. This is what I'm looking at:

Cal Western Pros:
Located in San Diego (Love SD)
Good reputation in San Diego
Very friendly and welcoming, close-knit community

Tuition over 3 years: $115,200
High Cost of living
4th tier

McGeorge Pros:
Cheaper: tuition: $8,000-$15,000 less overall
lower cost of living
Closer to home
Top 100 school

Part-time (at least for first year)
I don't like Sacramento
A bit of a cold vibe, impersonal
Will be more difficult to get a job out of LS in San Diego or out of the Sacramento area (I don't want to stay around Sac)

Any advice? What would you do?

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Cal Western FinAid Problems
« on: January 22, 2009, 09:12:02 PM »
Hi guys!

I got my very first letter a couple weeks ago! It's a safety (Cal Western), but it's good news. Anyway, admitted students are suppose to fill out some financial aid stuff online within 2 weeks of being admitted. However, my ID is not working!!! Anyone else having this problem???? I contacted the school TWICE by email and nothing! That's not giving me a very good impression, I'd hate to say. If anyone else has this problem, I'd like to know I'm not alone. Or if someone has a solution, I'd love to hear from ya. Thanks.
