Does anyone know anything about or have been part of the NY LEO Program?

Where should I go next fall? / Brooklyn vs Rutgers-Newark ($$)
« on: April 02, 2009, 09:49:52 AM »
Hi, the topic subject says its all. More specifically, I'm from NJ so I'll be getting in-state tuition from Rutgers-Newark and nothing from Brooklyn. I want to obviously work somewhere in NYC or North Jersey post-grad (possibly at a government position but also open to firms). From my research, it seems like job placement percentages are similar for both schools.

Any opinions? Thank you.

Recommendations / new LORs
« on: September 09, 2008, 03:09:19 PM »
i was going to apply 2 years ago when i was a senior in college, and had gotten all of the LORs ready.  but i ended up taking a couple years off to re-take my lsats and such.

i realized in one of the letters (the prof showed me a copy), he wrote the specific dates. for example he wrote "i recommend this candidate for the class of 2009" etc..

do you think i have to go and re-ask all of my recommenders to revise their letters just incase they had done something like that? or would law schools understand that some of my LORs are from before when i was a student at school 2 years ago..

Those are my numbers..

Do I have a shot at Fordham? Maybe for it's PT program at least? If not, what would be some appropriate schools to apply to..

Studying for the LSAT / LSAT 3rd try?
« on: September 02, 2008, 02:33:15 PM »
So I bombed my first exam which I took 2 years ago without any preparation.. and then I took it in June after taking testmasters and improved by 10 pts.  Do you think it's smart to take it a 3rd time and get a similar score as my last one so that I can show admissions that my first score was a fluke?
