Book sales, auctions, trades, etc. / is borrowing books a good idea??

hey kids,
I just got my list of books (and it is going to cost me around $700  :-\)
Do you guys think that it is a good idea to borrow books from previous law students??

Will we be referring back to the 1L books during 2nd and 3rd year??

Law School Applications / why won't UCLA send out rejections already??

i hate them, they give me a glimmer of unrealistic hope.. i found out the other day from a UCLAW student that there is already a list of admitted students floating around to the clubs and that all those students have already been contacted!

i'm thinking of just going to their admissions office monday and asking them face to face wtf is wrong with them!

hey guys,
if the deposits are due april 1st for most of the schools, when do you think they will let the "borderline" people know their decision? 

...the wait is ruining my spring break   :'(

I have a really bad feeling that UCLA is going to start spilling their rejections this week..

**They already cashed (mostly) everyone's checks**
**Secretary told me that all decisions should be sent by April
**UCLA's spring break is soon, the school will be empty and all the admissions ppl want to leave and go party..

I know I'm totally over-analyzing the situation .. but I'm just feeling soo anxious!

General Off-Topic Board / Golden Key Honor Society?

i'm still waiting on acceptance letters from law schools and the other day i got a "congratualtions" letter from the golden key honor society... i was happy for like 5 seconds and then i read they want me to pay like $75? wtf?
i was about to ignore it but i wanna be like the cool kids and join an "honors society!"

do you guys think it's BS??

LSAC and LSDAS / social security number on all pages??

hey guys - im having a mini panic attack - i'm almost done sending my apps and I just read a checklist for loyola (after i sent it in) and it said that "The applicant's Social Security number should appear on all documents." Should I call the school to resend my application?

I know that they probably just want to have it just in case - but do you guys think the admissions ppl will think lower of me?? what should i do?

LSAC and LSDAS / USC - how long does it take until they request report?

I sent my apps in over 2 weeks ago and USC hasn't requested my reports.. is that normal? is it slower cuz of the holidays and the increase in apps over the last month?
how long should I wait before I call the school?

LSAC and LSDAS / How often should i save an App?

I was just doing one application and it was open on my comp for about an hour and all the sudden LSAC logged me out and I didn't get a chance to save it! So does anymore know how many minutes each login session is??
