Where should I go next fall? / Status checker question
« on: January 15, 2010, 08:04:30 PM »
I got home and went on to all of my status checkers as usual.  I was changed to "Pooled" at one school and wondered if that just means that they are putting off the decision until later or something else?

Any advice would help.

Want to stay in New England and think UMaine is looking like a good safety.  Anyone know anything about it?

Hi Everyone,

I am a New Englander.  Grew up in CT and went to college in NH.  I know that I would like to live and practice in New England eventually, but would not mind moving somewhere else for a few years during and after law school.  But, people seem to feel that if you want to live somewhere you should go to law school there.  Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are about this in New England.

I have taken the LSAT and think I am in the 160 range and my UGPA is a 3.44 I am thinking about applying to these schools:

BC
Uconn

Northeastern
Tennessee
Oregon
Penn State

U Maine
West Virginia
Vermont

Any thoughts would help.

Recommendations / LOR from current 3L?
« on: October 01, 2009, 01:01:29 PM »
So I have already gotten my LORs all set but I also have a friend who attends UConn Law (my first choice).  I was wondering if it would be worth having them write and LOR to put in with my application to UConn.  I know that the individual is very well respected on campus and very involved.

Any thoughts would help.

Thanks

Graduated in December of 2007 and I am not working at a college in Residential Life as an Area Coordinator.  I have a 160 and 3.44 GPA and was wondering what that chances are that I get in to Uconn, Quinnipiac or Oregon...Any thoughts?
