Job Search / Getting a "C"?
« on: May 31, 2008, 10:08:42 AM »
My grades for most of 1L were good (As, A-s, 1 B+), but I ended up with a C in con law. While I still should be top 10-15%, I am wondering whether this one grade will hurt me or whether I need to address it during interviews? Thanks.

Transferring / 1L Mock Trial Comp
« on: February 25, 2008, 08:40:41 AM »
Some schools have 1L Mock Trial Competitions, how helpful to the transfer process would placing well in such a contest be? Would the time be better spent studying to do well on final exams? Thanks.

Transferring / T3/T4 --->NYU/Columbia Transfer?
« on: February 22, 2008, 06:12:00 PM »
Does anyone know of people who transfered to NYU or Columbia from T3 or T4 schools? I've heard rumors this is possible, but wanted to know if someone has done this themselves or know directly of someone doing this.

Transferring / Random Application Question
« on: February 05, 2008, 03:05:33 PM »
I sent my GULC application in last week, and this week CALI awards (highest grade in course) were announced. I did not list on my resume that I won 2 awards, should I send in a new resume or e-mail the admissions office?

Transferring / For the 100th time: my chances?
« on: January 16, 2008, 06:46:25 PM »
Not to sound redundant, I know similar questions have been asked. However, for my sanity please answer my question again. I am a student at a T3/T4 school (member of the AALS). I just finished my first semester with a 4.0 GPA. Although ranks have not officially come out, I presume top 1%. My undergrad GPA is 3.33 and LSAT is mid/high 150s. When I initially applied I was unsure if law was the right path, but after a semester at law school I'm more confidant that I made the correct decision. Any advice on where to transfer? Not to sound like a prestige whore, but what is my "cut-off"? Thanks.
