General Board / Waiting....

So I am new to this, but have been reading some of the threads on general subjects.  I made a mad dash to apply, and take the LSAT this past February; beginning the entire process in January.  I did not get into my top schools, for a few reasons I suppose.  The reason I want to believe most is because I waited so long to apply, and all of the 'seats' were filled.  The second is obvious, my grades or LSAT score etc... were not impressive enough (even though I did my undergrad at one of these two schools).  I live in Chicago so you can probably guess where I applied.  I was wondering, is there any way to tell even with a little imagination if I was accepted to the other two schools I applied to?  It is starting to get annoying as I am at both a plateau and standstill with my current career, which is terribly unsatisfying.  I would not recommend studying the arts to anyone, especially music.  Anyone have any advice?  Jan. and Feb. were certainly hellish months for me, and I just want to know that I didn't completely waste my time, money or opportunity.
