Pursuing an LLM / LLM @ T2
« on: May 05, 2009, 05:02:14 PM »
My school is offering all LLM programs to the 2009 grads for a discounted price of $9000 for the year.  The school is Loyola Chicago.  I am not sure well their tax program is ranked/regarded but this is a phenomenal price for an LLM.  Would it be worth it?  Ideally, I would like to work for the fed gov (IRS in particular).  Thanks in advance.

Transferring / Transfering Questions
« on: November 15, 2006, 10:19:24 AM »
1) How does your ranking work once your transfer?  If you had a 3.6 at your old school, what happens when you transfer to a new school?  Will you still be able to transfer with honors, join order of the coif, etc
2) Is it worth it to transfer from a pretty good tier 2 school with a full ride, to a T-14?  Is it still possible to get a big firm job at a great firm coming from a T2
3)How do firms view people who transfered into a better school.  Do they veiw them less favorably than one who entehred the school from the start of their law school career?  Thanks ;D
