Law School Admissions / Financial Aid Part Time?
« on: April 07, 2004, 10:01:27 AM »
I am applying to law school next year, and my numbers are gonna be approximately 3.0, 168.  URM  Because I would not make the cut at Georgetown, I think I will apply part time, and hope for a top 14.
However, I am very reliant on need-based aid, which I will definitely revieve.  Does anyone know how financial aid works for part time students?   Also, is it bad to start in the part time program?  Will GULC laugh at me when I apply part-time right out of college with no real job?
Thanks for any advice

Law School Admissions / does it really matter what classes I take?
« on: March 30, 2004, 05:54:39 PM »
I am applying to law school next year, and this summer I was going to take a few easy classes to boost my GPA by the time I apply.  They are also prerequisite classes I need.  These are 100 and 200 level classes.  Will law schools be bothered that they are on my transcript so late in my undergrad years.  Thank you for your time.

I am a junior in college right now, and my GPA is pretty low (2.95), but my LSAT will be high.  Obviously it is just an assumption, but my SAT was 99.8 percentile, and my practice LSAT's are around 170-175.  Anyway, my question is for applying next year.  I have a pretty large split between my test scores and grades, so I was thinking of applying to all of the top twenty schools.  Will they know I applied to so many schools, and reject me because of it?  If so, does anyone have advice?

Thanks in advance
