Current Law Students / Studying Time and how to spend it
« on: September 13, 2005, 07:17:46 PM »
I know that everyone on this board has asked very similar questions, but I'm still pretty concerned. I just started my 1st year at a tier 4 school. I really like it so far, but I feel like my classmates are spending way more time on things. People keep saying they are studying all the time and only getting 5 hrs. of sleep. I feel like i understand things pretty least as well as to be expected at this point, but i certainly get more than 5 hrs. of sleep each night, and I don't spend every minute studying when I get home until I go to bed. I spend between 2-5 hrs. depending on the day, but I also do a lot of work on my weekends. I use those for working on and updating my outlines. Is this enough? Do I need to be doing what everyone else is? Also, I started out briefing every case, but I've stopped that in like 2 classes because it took sooo much time, is this a bad choice? Do I need to brief for at least my first sememster everything? Also, I have friends at other tier 1 schools telling my how much crazy reading they have every night. We usually do not have an unmanageable amount, generally if you are not behind of course, we have about 50 pgs. or so every night. Is this not very much? Are better schools a lot harder? thanks to all you for your advise.

Current Law Students / orientation questions
« on: August 17, 2005, 08:13:13 AM »
Hey everyone, this may seem like a silly question, but what do people usually wear to orientation? Is it appropriate to wear jeans or capri's or should you be  a  bit more formal than that? I'm just starting to get really nervous, I've been working on my assignments that are due for orientation, and getting prepared, but the closer it gets, the more nervous I get. Any suggestions would help, or past experiences! Thanks

Current Law Students / Willamette School of Law
« on: June 09, 2005, 01:51:05 PM »
I am still trying to decide between Willmette Law School and Texas Wesleyan. I was hoping that if anyone has any information about Willamette they could share! Is there anyone out there who is planning to attend? Or already does and has some opinion of it? thanks so much for your help!

I'm planning on attend TWU this fall, and just wanted to see if there are any current students out there that could offer info on their own experiences there. I'm excited about the school after visiting it, but I still don't know a whole lot about it! anyone's opinions or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
