Law School Applications / loans
« on: August 10, 2005, 02:18:10 PM »
just wondering about loans when it comes to law school. i will have basically no help financially from my parents while i'm in law school. i am not worried about being a 100 or a 150,000 dolalrs in debt after law school, however, but can everyone get that much in loans? so i guess basically my question is how do i pay for law school?

Law School Applications / undergrad in 3 years
« on: August 10, 2005, 11:53:31 AM »
i need some help with a big decision i have to make. i am a student at oklahoma state university. this will only be my second year there, but i had a bunch of hours before i got to osu so i was basically a sophomore when i got there. this year i am taking 17 hours a semester. my problem is that i have to decide whether i want to take 6 hours in the summer and graduate a full year early. if i decide to do that then i will take the lsat in june of '06 and apply to law school in the fall of '06 when i'm 20. if i graduated from osu in 3 years then that would save me a full year on room and board and what not. so i am wondering if getting a bachelors in 3 years is that impressive to law schools? would it be worth missing a year of the college experience (which i hear is much different than the law school experience)?

Law School Applications / minority advantage
« on: August 10, 2005, 11:11:17 AM »
i posted this question on another part of this site, but i decided to post it here to maybe get some more feedback. i am a registered native american. i have a 3.8 gpa and expect to make a 167-170 on the lsat. assuming, i make around a 167 to 170 on the lsat, what are my chances of getting into a top 10 law school? my main question would be how much of an advantage is my native american status?
