Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Is Chapman really that bad??

Yes, Chapman is in So Cal, but is also very strong inside Orange County.  Sure, Chapman must contend with UCLA and USC, but it is quickly competing with Loyola, Pepperdine, and USD.  By the way, So Cal has over 15+million living in the area.

Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / Fastest School to Top 100?

I've heard UNLV has made this claim?  However, this year Chapman entered Tier 2 at 93 and has only been in existence for the past 15 years?  Anyone know?

I replied to this question at your other post.  Hope it helps!

Read the posts above re: Chapman.  And yes, there are great things happening at Chapman.  I would recommending checking out the school or continuing to wait for the US News rankings for the upcoming years.  This year Chapman jumped into the second tier at #93.  That is a huge jump for a school that has been around for only 15 years.  Maybe the fastest leap by any school.   There is a great legal market for jobs as well.  Its proximity to LA OC and SD offer a plethora of jobs.

Chapman hands down.  Chapman has the luxury of utilizing the legal market in LA, OC, and San Diego.  Also, their reputation is only growing.  This year they moved up in the US News rankings to #93 and have the 24th best part-time program according to factors used by US News.

Chapman just moved up in the rankings....again.  Chapman is ranked 93 (Tier 2) in the 2011 US News Rankings.  Not sure if that matters to you, but to some it does.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Pepperdine ($$) vs Chapman ($$$$)

I go to Chapman and must say the school is amazing.  I love it here.  UC Irvine is far behind Chapman and will take awhile to get running.  Chapman has a strong reputation in OC and gets stronger as the years go by.  Chapman just jumped tiers a month ago and will hopefully do so in a couple years again.  Really, I think Chapman is a smart investment. Go to Loyola over Pepperdine.  Also, Chapman is strong contrary to what the naysayers say.  LA is the old money and the OC is the new money.  Chapman sends grads to big firms every year 160k, so honeslty unless you are going to UCLA or USC, your job prospects are going to be relatively the same, that is unless you go to Western State or Whittier!

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some information about the number of years it took schools to jump Tiers since their inception?  Any schools Tier 4 to Tier 3 in 1O years?  ( I hear FIU and Chapman have done it)  Tier 3 to Tier 1 (no idea what schools here)?  Thanks
