Studying for the LSAT / Re: Should I take the LSAT again?
« on: July 15, 2005, 01:56:10 PM »
i studied my ass off for this June test, i think i may just be a bad test taker... i studied practically 4 hours per day for the last month... which is why i was so suprised about my horrible score... im worried if i take the oct test, and i study my ass off again, i wont improve much, thus wondering if it will hurt me rather then help me.

Well, assuming that you're not just a bad test-taker, maybe you're studying hard, not smart. That's where PowerScore really helped me: learning to identify what the questions are actually asking, and shortcuts to finding the solutions. If you have drive (and it sounds like you do) this sort of guidance could be very beneficial.

So, does LSAC take into account your undergraduate institution while figuring your GPA? I know that the med school version of LSAC does this: a friend of mine with a degree in bio saw her GPA go up by 1/10 of a point because of our college's reputation, which seems tiny, but can make a difference.

When you submit your UGPA to LSAC, what happens? So many posters lament their LSAC GPA, and it makes me wonder what sort of formula they're using that could make such a difference.
