Yeah things worked out ok.

Oh, a whole bunch of times.  Good stuff, but I like Veil Maker better.

Have you come around to listening to Mew?

I need to check out Veil Maker. Have you heard the first track of the Built to Spill album? Regardless of how you feel aabout them or even the rest of the album that song "Going against your mind' is amazing. REally just an epic song. Thanks again dude for that OPT info!

I'll be attending NYU thus Fall and was wondering if it is possible to work as a summer associate in NY during my summers or will I have to go back to Canada to work. I was thinking maybe OPT but I've already used OPT after getting my MA and I know you can reapply for OTP if you are pursuing a "higher" degree.

Well, as I'm sure you know, you qualify for twelve months of OTP per degree level.  This includes full time summer work.  The basics of OTP are simple; you know them, but I'll list them for others, since I found two good overviews:

So then the question for you is whether your MA is at the same degree level as your JD.  Well, I think you may be in luck.  It would appear that the JD falls under a classification known as "First Professional", while MA is classified as "Graduate".  According to the second of these two following links (from U of Washington), First Professional gets a completely different degree code than Graduate does.  This suggests that it's considered a different degree level, which means that you would qualify for twelve new months of OPT.

And, just in case you weren't sure that the same designations are valid at NYU, here's a link that proves that the distinction is made at your future alma mater, as well:

Hope this helps.  Sure taught me a lot.

I would serioulsy kiss you right now if I could.

have you come around to listening to Explosions in the Sky?

Newcastle to go with Alice In Chains unplugged....

RIP Layne Staley

That unplugged album is so f-ing sweet. Nutshell, Over New, and Killer is Me still give me goosebumps.

Minus the Bear and coffeeeeeeee

"Technopath..." this one is sorta sucky. Like a watered down helmet

"Tilting" I like. Oddly, it sounds like a mix between Minus the Bear and Pearl Jam. Will listen to next track and comment.

Yeah, but as far as I know, that IS under OPT.

Hold on, I'll get back to you on this.  I'll probably be researching this tonight after I finish this damned essay.

Appreciate it man!
