I most likely will also be attending UMaryland in the fall, though I haven't officially decided yet.
I'd be greatful for whatever housing tips anyone has to offer in the Baltimore area.

Congrats on 'Nova! I'm accepted as well, though I haven't decided yet. Do you know if Villanova has a part-time Law program? No mention of it on their less-than-spectacular website. I work in the area and am considering going part-time if I end up going to a local school.

I am a GMU applicant with a low GPA/ good LSAT score as well. Is it possible to get some stats from the 1L or 2Ls that said they were accepted off the waitlist. If only for some application solace? I have experience in I.P. licensing and went to a strong undergrad engineering program, I'm hoping that will help me at my top choice - George Mason. Thanks.

I have been accepted to Maryland Law. Have not decided yet where I will be this fall. I am employed in the Philadelphia area and my employer would like to keep me while attending Temple Evening School. As such, I am trying to decide whether Maryland is worth leaving my job and incurring a large amount of debt. I'm really just trying to quantify the risk vs reward.

I was wondering if there is a consensus on The University of Maryland School of Law? How do people feel it compares to schools like Hastings, Temple Beasley, William & Mary, etc. Does Maryland have any particular strengths that its known for (like Temple is well-known for Trial Advocacy). Thanks in advance.

JDubs: Thanks for the quick reply. I would be in-state for Temple as I have lived in PA my entire life. I, however, may also be considered in-state after 1L for Maryland as my girlfriend lives there and it would be easy to establish residence (um...get married). My job prospects/preferences are in-between. Would love to work in Philadelphia, Baltimore, DC, etc. Primarily looking for work flexibility in the Mid-Atlantic coast cities.

For additional consideration: Would you consider leaving a $50K/yr job now to go to either of these schools fulltime? What about $70/yr? What about $90/yr?

I'm trying to decide between UMaryland and Temple Law. I understand that the decision seems obvious just based on rankings of overall strength-of-program, but I'd like to understand more about the pros/cons of each.
The real comparison for me is that I am currently employed in the philadelphia area. I could continue to work and go to Temple Evening Program...completing law in 4 years. Or I could suck it up, incur some additional debt, and go fulltime to UMaryland. Besides the bearings on my level of (relative) sanity, I'm not sure if I can handle fulltime work and night school for four years, what is the general consensus on job opportunities and level of strength of these two programs.
Thanks in advance for your opinions.
