Congrats on your acceptance to SMU off of the waitlist. I'm attending SMU in the fall and i'm trying to find others that are going too so that I can start chatting and getting to know people. I've tried making posts about SMU before, but it seems like very few people are interested. So.... are there any young (i'm 22) soon-to-be SMU 1Ls out there?

ARe the students friendly there? Was it easy to meet people (or did you already know people before you started classes?)? What is the competitive environment like? WHat do you know about career services at SMU law (i've heard they are really weak there)? Have you encountered plenty of good professors? What are the weakest aspects or any dislikes that you have about SMU law?
Okay, there is a start. Anything you can tell me about your experiences there would help!

Incoming 1Ls / SMU- who is going?

I just found out on Monday morning that I got into SMU law. Now I am deciding between SMU and Tulane, but I have to inform Tulane by Friday if I wish to go there. I desperately need to talk with other students who are planning on choosing SMU. So please, if you are planning on attending there in the Fall... please respond. Tell me everything you know about the school (what its like? competitive environment? student body? etc. etc. ANYTHING)

I got the call this morning at 9:45am - I'm in!!! I guess it was worth the wait, though now I have no time to make my final decision (between SMU and Tulane).

If I were only concerned with prestige, then I'd write-off SMU and just go to one of the top 25 schools that i've been accepted to. I'd like to be in the DFW area, so THATS why i'm awaiting SMU's response.
Nice cowboy hat though- Tech will suit you nicely. The only thing more annoying than threads that duplicate previous topics, are douches like you that use threads to act like a jerk.

Hmmmm... have fun at Texas Tech. No wonder why you are bitter about hearing people talk about SMU.

For god sakes, who else STILL hasn't heard from them? Who else wants to kill them? Who HAS gotten in (besides ED)? Who has been rejected (besides ED)? There are hardly any posts about SMU, but I can't imagine that there aren't people waiting or wondering or who have recently heard something from them.
