Yeah - Albany is my first choice.
She basically told me not to get my hopes up too high but also not to be totally discouraged...
So, I would say that we won't be hearing anything at least for another month

I'm on the WL too! and it sucks!
I just met with the interm director of admissions this morning and she told me that the next due date for a deposit is June 1st - she said that is when the 2nd deposit is due and she said after that date is when there will start to be movement - but she also said that you can find out right up until the day before classes begin...she also told me that last year they didn't take anyone off of their WL!
that did not make me happy!
She also said that all Wl movement starts with schools at the top like Yale - and once they start accepting students off of their waitlist then it is like a trickle down affect for the rest of the schools

I'm pretty sure that when you retake the LSAT they average your two scores together and that becomes your LSAT score so really unless you did pretty terrible and are sure that you will do great the 2nd time I'm not sure if your score would improve all that much....but I'm not positive about that! I just thought that was how it worked.

Thanks - I work with lawyers so I'm going to ask them for some suggestions on what to talk about...luckily I have all day while I'm at work today to try and come up with something good to talk about.  Memorizing stats is a little psycho but hey if it will get you in, then I'll do it too! LoL
Thanks again

Lex - Thanks, that would be very helpful! I actually live in Albany so I just made an appointment to meet with someone in the admissions office to discuss my status and my continued interest - I figured if I'm right here that would be better than a letter.  However, I have no idea what to say! So any helpful hints/sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I just got off the phone with them and they said that they are accepting the same amount of students this year as they did last year.  They were also unable to tell me how many people were on the waitlist last year and how many got pulled off - but what was VERY discouraging is that she kept saying...IF we got to the waitlist....she said it like 10 times!!
so, basically she couldn't tell me anything and that the wait could be right up until the week before classes begin!

I just got a letter today that I am now on their waitlist - what do you all think the odds are in all honesty of me being accepted?? How many students do they really accept off of their waitlist?
