All you people who were just accepted off the wait list -- how long did they give you to respond with your decision?

Who knows! When I called them roughly a month ago, the woman I spoke with said they were still overenrolled at that point but that it was difficult to predict how many people who had submitted the first seat deposits would submit the second. That's completely unhelpful, I know, but I think that's the truth; it's just hard to tell one way or the other.

Is GW still your first choice? Have you contacted them with additional info?

I've heard a whole lot of nothin'. I suspect that if you survived the first round of cuts (late April), then they're holding your file until the second seat deposit on June 15th. Here's hoping!

Hmm... I'm on the WL for GW PT and FT, and my numbers are pretty good for PT (3.71/161). I was just going to stay at my job for a few more years if by some miracle they let me in PT, but it sounds like getting off the wait list for either of those programs would be above-and-beyond fantastic news!

Lex, at this point everything makes me panic! I just want to go to friggin' law school. Have you heard back from Fordham yet? Are you waitlisted? I can't remember!

Re: Fordham. I'm of the frame of mind that *anyone* who goes to law school has to be super motivated, so I don't buy this whole "TTT" nonsense. But, that aside, Fordham IS one of the top 30 schools in the country; that's hardly 'baselike' and I'm glad I even still have a shot. Also, since when is Lincoln Center in Manhattan "the ghetto"??

Unicorn, you got into some really good schools. You should be quietly proud of that instead of starting threads about how every school ranked below Yale is not worth your time.

I'm attending GW PT this fall and am transferring to FT after the first semester. I plan to do exactly what a current 1L that I talked with did- study abroad the first summer to make up the credits, then take the actual class I missed during my first semester of 2L. That way, I can do what other students studying abroad do- study for part of the summer and do an unpaid internship during the remainder.

Can you really transfer after the first semester (and not only after the first year) at GW?

unicorngt1983 --  You said your app was pulled because you had a special recommendation, right? And then you got rejected?? I pulled some strings myself (I interned at a nonprofit where the executive director is on the faculty at Fordham and had her write a letter for me), and now my app on the statuschecker says "APPLICATION NOT FOUND". I called them and they told me I was still waitlisted, but holy crap am I terrified now.

I just tuned in... where is Robocob!?? It's 1:30 in the freakin' afternoon!! He must have called by now!

The other stuff from above are nice soft factors, but attractiveness is the LSAT of the mating game.

 :D That quote is priceless.

I'm surprised no one has said 'intelligence' yet. That overrides all other factors for me (unless the guy is macho and/or arrogant, in which case all bets are off). I was hardly attracted to my current S.O. at all when I first met him, but he's ridiculously brilliant and the more he talked about whathaveyou the sexier he got. Bizarre how that happens.
