Where should I go next fall? / FIU for part timers« on: December 18, 2006, 10:34:01 AM »
I'm interested in going to FIU in 2009.
To those who are attending the school, please describe your experiences as a part time student. Is the work load heavy? Light? Do the professors use the Socratic Method a lot? 3

I will take the Testmasters course in January of 2007. For those who took a Testmasters course in Florida, how is it?

You should find a law school that has a strong personal injury program or certificate. I don't think that you should have one specialty though.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Should I apply now or wait a year and strengthen my application« on: September 18, 2006, 03:17:34 PM »
I agree with the previous poster. Take some time off, get more WE, and practice like crazy for the LSAT!
I am taking the year off as well (to get my Professional teaching certification and practice for the LSAT). 6

University of Maryland, University of Denver, and University at Albany will also accept the LSAT in place of the GRE.

Where should I go next fall? / Back Up Plans, Part 2« on: August 09, 2006, 02:47:50 PM »
I've decided not to apply this year to LS. I will continue to work as a social studies teacher, and prepare for the LSAT. Since the new ABA/LSAC policy is in effect this year, admissions to a top law school (which I'm not applying to) is going to be a little competitive.
What are some of your back up plans? 8

I will wait another year (or two) to apply to law school. I need to work on getting my Professional certificate (my temporary cert. will expire in 2 years) and prepare more for the LSAT. I'm also taking a class for a Reading Endorsement. I also need to take time out to enjoy reading a good book! Law school will still be there next year! 10
