Studying for the LSAT / Re: Lsat and question difficulty?
« on: January 08, 2007, 02:05:45 PM »
every type has both easy and difficult ques. Thus, Parallel reasoning can be easy and mainpoint hard. Type does not matter.

i know, but what i am trying to say is that i think that powerscore considers some types of questions more difficult than others. you find most parallel reasoning questions at the end of LSATs and not the beggining. I am drawing this  conclusion from the questions in the LRBible,  when seeing from where they took the questions, Parallel and mainpont questions seemed to be mostly taken from the end of LSATs. I know it is not always the case, but most likely.

what is considered a hard question? i have noticed from LRBible that questions like must be true are mostly at the beggining of the LSATs while other types, like method of reasoning(i forgot how they exactly call them) are usualy at the end of LSATs.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: 25th Percentile GPA

well,i have a similar problem, i am studying in a country with a different grading system. with a 1.0 to 7.0 grading system, where a 4.0 is teh passing grade(55%, depends on course) and where a 7.0 is a 100%, right now i have a 5.6 grade, placing me in the top 5% of my class, (perhaps will be placed top 1% this semester) , however that 5.6 could be considered as a 78% in a 100% scale, so i am screwed with admissions. Do you guys think i have a chance for admissions (cold LSAT diag 160), plus the uni wont give conversion charts , they just say that a 7 is excelent, 6 very good, 5 good and 4 satisfactory.
