Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: UC Hastings Wait List

i would say south san francisco, or the east bay would be your best bet. you will be able to take bart from some of these locations into the civic center (where hastings is situated). if you will have a car...then perhaps burlingame, it is pretty much suburbia over there.

tag.  on the waitlist as holding a seat at fordham...but would like to remain in the bay area if possible.  my third choice is USD with $$$.

did you guys send in a LOCI and/or other recs?  fwiw, i sent in 1 loci and 4 lors (2 students, one politician, one work related).

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: USD + 20,000.00/yr or Loyola?

just confirmed my 20k scholarship is renewable based upon my $$ need, it is NOT based on my academic performance...

still waiting on the UCLA and Hastings waitlists... the same scholarship as well.

fordham may still be the better choice stress wize, especially since you will be attending part time.  i believe it is 4 classes per semester instead of 5.

but for the most part, i believe astro is right.  you might want to abandon your biglaw dreams if stress is detrimental to your well being. biglaw's billable hours is no joke!

voted for fordham.  if the $ offered was for a full scholarship, i would say USD...the employment statistics for fordham are just too impressive.  the top half of the class will be offered big law jobs.  even at 25, i believe they are underrated. oh and about the p/t thing, i hear this is the last year you will be able to transfer easily from p/t to f/t.
