hey LSDers! does anyone have an apartment in san diego (reasonably near downtown) that they're looking to sublet for the summer? any thoughts on where i should look? i don't think we can afford a place on the beach in summer unless we get lucky, so i just need a studio or room in a house or whatever where my BF and i can spend june-august.

thx   :-*

come on, that's like asking how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop!

i stand corrected  :o

i had dinner with pookie tonight and she told me to check the thread   :D

look, we don't really know much more than you guys know. i appreciate the compliments and for the most part can only speculate the same way you speculate. if you're looking for a secret magic factor we haven't disclosed, that we're really minorities or legacies or went to kindergarten with the dean's kids, i can honestly tell you those don't exist.

i regret putting way too much information about myself out there on this site, since i closed that account and can't delete it. if you do have questions for me, you can try me on email (though there will be a long turnaround with finals looming).

one thing did come to mind while reading this string: yls doesn't really use grades, and that system only works when all the students are self-motivated and self-starters. that's got to be an attribute they look for-- that you don't just want to excel at the typical activities in the typical way, but that you're off and running whether or not someone is paying you or grading you or praising you. you do it (the thesis, the advanced degree, the internship, the leadership, the activism, the philanthropy, whatever) because you want it that badly, you love it that much, or more likely a combination of the two.

to the dude who has the opening from my 250 as his

I've already met Matokah, Bruin, Ambs, dbgirl, reindeerS, and mschuell.

I would like to meet those who posted in the Georgia thread back in January or so...would especially like to meet Pookie, Lexy, Sej, Merc, and T.

ok, you're on. will you be in ny this fall? if that's still the plan, pookie and i will have to meet up with you.

do people search for their names on this site?  I mean, hey lexy, how do people just randomly show up when someone writes something about them....

you know, i actually just searched the site for "yale" b/c i wondered if new threads had come up now that the facebook is online. and, umm, i have no assignments at work today. this hit turned out to be in reference to pookie.

I think he means lexylit
she's hot... doesn't talk to me much anymore... miss her

hey babydoll! thanks for the compliment & right back atya.  :-*

i haven't been on AIM in months and months, if that helps... i trust everything is good with you?

what's up!

Why don't you ever post in georgia anymore?

You are depriving the newbies.

hi  :-*

did i ever post there? i think not? i'm sure the newbies are doing just fine for themselves, though. and they have you!
