that dude is married and his wife owns a restaurant or cafe in Waco. he's tied down.

That would be me!  Yeah, my wife is starting Beatnix Coffee House.  We hope it'll be open by spring finals, so I can invite everyone over.

I did seriously consider UT, but now that I've had three weeks at Baylor I am quite pleased with it.  Apparently it's considered by many to be the "marine boot camp" of law schools.  The teachers have made it clear that they expect us to be competent to practice the day we graduate, not merely ready to go learn on the job.

Yay, midjeep!  Hope to see you around this summer  ;D

1. How many dragons does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?

2. How many dragons does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Would 28 be a bit old to start law school?

That is still young.  I'll be 36 when I start law school.

Ditto.  When I went to check out Baylor, I asked a Professor what effect my age would have on my chances (this is before I took the LSAT).  He said it made little difference, and might be slightly positive.  He also told me they've had a student in his 70s :o.

I received the same email... the viewbook arrived on Monday.  I'm 3.81/178 and plain white.

I got 178 on the October test, after scoring 168-172 on practice tests the week before.

Wow Em!!!!  Man, I sure hope I have your luck/skill.  Why do you that happened?

Part of it was just getting comfortable with the test; I learned that I could complete all of the questions in a section with a few minutes to spare, which sorts of questions I was likely to mis-read, and what sort of copying-answers-to-the-scoresheet pattern I liked.

But in reality I really don't have to do that either because even on her period she's still a great person and has a very temperate predisposition.
Did you ever see the SNL skit with folks coming out of a Broadway hypnotist's act saying "It - Was - Much - Better - Than - Cats. I - Would - See - It - Again - And - Again."?  I'm not sure what made me think of that just now ;)

For Q. 16 to work, LSAC needs to have said "both."  Otherwise the question falls apart with my example.

Yep.  This drove me nuts, and I ended up spending my last four minutes of the section trying to rework the answers.  I was convinced that I had to have gotten 2 or 3 wrong, but ended up getting them all right.  :o
