I took a meandering route through college from 1995-2004. When I look back on who I was around your age it's like he is a stranger. In the next few years you'll probably learn a lot about yourself and your personal philosophies will start to take firmer shape. I recommend less focus and more experience.

My Firefox profile got deleted and I need to find a website I had bookmarked. I'm sure some of you have seen it. I don't remember what it's called, but you can search a database of law employers, with job postings, including firms, government, and public interest. You can use the search function to see both which schools a particular employer recruits at and which employers recruit at a particular law school. Does anyone have this? Please?!

I'm leaning toward Hastings over UGA and Iowa.

Hastings is the most prestigious of the three and seems to place well all over California. I'm in a similar situation, but Iowa is thrown into the mix, making my decision very hard.

Unless something crazy happens, I'm going to be choosing between Iowa and Hastings. My fiancee isn't happy about the prospect of living in Iowa because we're westerners and currently live in DC. Very urban/western. The midwest seems so foreign and boring. But we've never really been. So I want to visit.
The real reason for this post is that I want this thread in my "unread replies." What IS so bad about Iowa? |
