Current Law Students / Re: Do Most 2Ls Work During School?
« on: August 09, 2005, 03:04:13 PM »
I was wondering the same thing. It would be nice to not have to take out such a huge loan for that year if we can work. Hopefully, somebody will clue us in.

Current Law Students / Re: question for the female law students
« on: August 07, 2005, 09:06:33 AM »
This issue is on my mind, but I'm not too worried at this point. I'm 25 about to start my first year. I hope to be married around 28 or so and have kids a few years after that.
I don't really think law is that much different than a lot of other careers. True, the likelihood of us working crazy hours is greater than some other professions, but I think we each can find that balance. I'm just hoping to live close enough to my parents to use them as baby-sitters when the time comes!!
In the end, I think (and hope) that everything will work out with not a lot of worries!

Current Law Students / Re: Ladies- where are you suit shopping?
« on: July 19, 2005, 01:22:36 PM »
I have a Tahari suit that I got on sale at Macy's or Hecht's for about $120 or so. I forget how much they are regularly, but usually can find them on sale a lot. The only problem is you can't mix sizes, so the pants are a little weird and high waisted which I can't stand. But other than that, it looks good on.
I almost bought one from J Crew but would end being close to $400 and the suit was really heavy. Perfect for winter but not for spring/summer. Ebay might be a good option to get it cheaper, b/c they really fit well.

I feel for the ladies on the board. I have an identical twin sister = double wardrobe and still complain of having nothing to wear!

Incoming 1Ls / Re: Who is packing to go to law school RIGHT NOW?
« on: August 09, 2005, 08:37:38 PM »
Well most of my big stuff is in the aparment, but I won't be living there until Sunday b/c school starts Monday. I don't have it that bad, b/c I'm only 45 mins from the school, so I'm slowly taking the rest of my clothes and stuff now. It's such a pain to figure out what I'm going to need for only this week!

I'm going with comcast b.c they are offering a deal of $52.95 a month for cable tv and internet. It's for 6 months and includes basic cable with a few premium channels. Afte that it goes to I think around $80 a month. Not sure how much cheaper other companies are, but not a bad deal since I'm splitting with my roomie.

Just saw it over the weekend. Best line is when he grabs his ass and says something like "watch me take this on out of here."

I get Nicole Kidman or gywneth paltrow (spelling?). I think it's mainly b/c I'm tall and blonde.
