Law School Discussion

I'd really like to get in at Northeastern.  Obviously I'd be thrilled with BU or BC, but I haven't taken my LSATs yet, and I'm trying to be realistic. In fact, I'm not sure WHAT I'd do if I got in at both BU and Northeastern.  I like the program at Northeastern much more, but it's hard to argue with the prestige of BU.

I'm in for my LSAT on October 4th too... we'll have to keep in touch as it gets closer.  

I'll be done with my personal statement around the end of the month. Are you still interested in swapping statements?

For the record, where are you applying?  I'll be sending applications to BC, BU, New England, Western New England, Vermont, Franklin Pierce, Northeastern, Suffolk, Maine, Cornell, GW, and possibly one or two more.

You can probably tell from my list of schools that I'm from the north east.

OK, here's the deal.  Up until this week, I was absolutely certain that I was going to law school.  I've decided to pursue my Ph.D. instead. The bad news is that I JUST ordered all of these LSAT prep materials, and now I have no use for them.  While I can't do anything about the money I paid to LSAC for registration and the LSACD on the Web service, I CAN at least sell the books I bought. These are all BRAND NEW books that I JUST ordered. The only book I've even opened is the Guide to ABA-Approved Schools, and there are absolutely no marks or blemishes in that one. The total you'd pay through LSAC for these books would be $118.  I will see the whole lot of them for $75. If you're going to apply to law school, you need to buy this stuff anyway, so you might as well save some money on it. If no one is interested in buying the whole lot, I will entertain offers for individual books.  I have a pay pal account or I will take cash or a check in the mail... your call.

Tell me, seriously, where do you get all this insider information? how do you know that this school has gone to the waitlist and how do you know how many slots/applicants they have? If you're that tight with the admissions office AND you know all these judges, why aren't you in already?
