Ew, I am going to barf hearing that about Juans...ok so how about favorite Mardi Gras krewes? I need some serious warm thoughts b/c its f**** nasty in Chicago.
I liked Endymion (spelling???) and Bacchus for mad beads without showing the goodies. Word to the wise...my CEO is riding in Bacchus this year....ew....

no, its not near f&m's... its kinda hidden in a neighborhood on Oak.. On the Tulane side.. Sweet, sweet, place.. Someone was murdered there while i was in school (the place is safe as can be though.. i swear).. My favorite dive bar, hands down, is BUTLERS.. That place is sweet, sweet passion.. Its right on the river and serves pabst in a bottle (i didnt even know that * & ^ % came in a bottle until i went there for the first time)..

NOLA is sweet love.. I miss it too much.

Was that the same year the kid was shot in hand?? I think so....

Oh and the crime thing...the biggest mistake people make down there (and are new to New Orleans) is that crime is only in 'bad' areas, its not so just don't get blotto and wander around the city solo (yes it happens) and lock your doors (Um, stupid to say but you have no idea how many friends of mine were robbed for leaving the door unlocked) New Orleans can vary block to block. My college b.f would get so drunk he would leave his snob car open, unlocked...nobody touched a thing...one block over, one of our friends was mugged sitting on his porch in the afternoon. Crime happens everywhere.

In Chicago, my friends at John Marshall and Kent like to say that Northwestern is like that( book hiding, etc) but I met with a recent NU law grad ( not through NU) and she said that's bull b/c Northwestern doesn't have class rank cut offs for OCR so its not as cut throat. I only heard of that happening at Kent when my mother went there.....over 28 years ago.....JMLS here has a very cut throat reputation but my friends that are there don't agree.

I did provide them. I have no idea why this is becoming such a freaking issue. What happened to being happy for other people? I am not the first and only to post anything on this board without first providing numbers. and I don't think that makes me a horrible person.
