Studying and Exam Taking / Casenote briefs on pdf?
« on: August 22, 2006, 10:02:35 PM »
Anyone know where to get Casenotes Legal Briefs on pdf?  I can't them anywhere.  Also, I have a paperback editions that have the form for access tothe briefs and updates online.  Does anyone know if that just gives me access to the particular subject in whih my book is on or Aspen's entire library of briefs?  Thanks in advance..

Where should I go next fall? / Re: favorite places in the south
« on: December 16, 2004, 11:57:22 PM »
Sorry for the confusion.  I am not any of those, aside from Italian.  I was just making a list of all the things I've been called/categorzied as in some form or another in my travels out of state.  Are you in the mob?, Do you like "rhyme"?, Ever been arrested?, Ever mugged anyone?, etc etc etc...

BTW my favorite places in the South are New Orleans and Austin (to curb the hijacking).

Are there a lot of Yankees in Charleston?  I only ask be once this whole application process is over and done with I'm heading to Charleston for a few weeks to visit a friend of mine from home (Long Island, NY).  I was under the impression that I would feel like Joe Pesci from my Cousin Vinny.  And I don't say that specifically to Charleston but it seems in my travels that anyone from NY is either a gangster/mafiose (this one especially bc I'm rather Italian)/rapper/criminal/arrogant prick/etc. It's kinda fun actually.  Anyways, I'm looking forward to Charleston in a few weeks.

Law School Applications / Re: Application help please...
« on: December 05, 2004, 08:49:41 PM »
Just the answer I was hoping for.  As far as the actual LSAT score, I'm pretty sure I'll remain consistent with what I had been doing in practice.  Even if it drops a little, it won;t stop me from applying to the schools I had in mind.  Any info regarding the "LSAC On The Web" service?  I plan on handling everything through that.  Thanks for all the help.  One less thing to worry about when trying to get all this together and eventually relax for a bit.

Law School Applications / Application help please...
« on: December 05, 2004, 08:20:34 PM »
I could use some help in determining how i should go about this entire application process.  Real quick with the background info, I took the LSAT Saturday and am pretty sure I'll score in the low 160's as I have been in practice tests.  Within the next month or so, I plan on leaving NY for a bit and head down to Charleston to change things up and actually live a bit before law schol shuts me down next September.  My question is how I should go about all this?  Can I apply to law schools without my score?  Due to situtaions beyond my control, I'm probably moving shortly after Xmas while the LSAT results won't be in until Jan 4.  I won't have comp access where I'll be living so i would much rather have everything sent out electronically before I move.  Can I do this?  Will the law schools just start reviewing my apps when the LSAT scores come in or do I have to wait until the results are released before I submit my apps?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance..

Law School Applications / When should I expect decisions?
« on: November 25, 2004, 07:47:51 PM »
Can anyone give me a ballpark time frame as to when i can expect a response from law schools?  I'm taking the Dec. LSAT and I would assume, if I do as well on the real thing as I'm doing in practice, that I'll score within the low to mid 160's.  I have a 3.2 UG GPA with excellent LOR's and PS (as does everyone else) and plan on applying to UPitt, Case Western, UDenver, Tulane, Brooklyn, Cardozo, St. Johns and a few others.  LSAC has processed everything except my PS and I have yet to submit any actual apps, which I plan on doing electronically through LSAC.  I'm guessing I should have all my apps sent out and ready to go so that the LSAT score is the only thing needed to make my file complete.  Any idea of when i may here back from schools?  I know it's a busy time and I've gotten a late start on the whole admissions process.  Thnaks in advance...

Any info on UD's graduate placement record?  I am seriously considering UD but coming from NY, I am not sure if I want to be committed to Denver for a fair amount of time following graduation. Any  info would be greatly appreciated...

One more question actually.  I spent one semster away in which I got a 2.4, while the worst I had ever done at my local comunity college was a 2.7.  However, this report has me down for a 2.45 for one of my semesters.  Is this an error or is this expected in the deviation of GPA when calculated by LSAC?  I think I'm gonna look over my old transcripts regardless.  Thanks...

Well that's a real kick in the f-ing balls.  Thanks...

I just found out my transcript got processed today by LSAC.  My computer is a little messed up so I couldn't access the page that describes what everything means.  Could someone tell me the diff. between my degree sumary GPA (3.51) and my cumulative GPA (3.17)?  I'm expecting the worst....
