Studying for the LSAT / December LSAT Support Group
« on: August 09, 2013, 06:53:34 PM »
How are you guys attacking this? I started studying this week and am getting very anxious. I am not sure how many hours I will have to put into work and school this fall so I am trying to cover as much as I can now. Using the LSATBlog's calendar, I am doing Logic Games-->Analytical Reasoning-->RC. I am least worried about RC, since I took the GRE and studied for it then (I am assuming it's basically the same). Taking the LSAT pretty late in the game (I previously thought it was a fair time, but that sentiment does not seem shared on a lot of posts I see) adds to the pressure of the whole app process, including LSATs. Hoping the extra two months we get over October will boost our scores considerably.

Good Luck!

Law School Applications / Schools That Consider Low SES/Growing Up Poor
« on: August 09, 2013, 05:01:03 AM »
What are schools that strongly consider economic background when applying? I know UCLA is one, also Michigan and UT. For example, UCLA has an addendum that specifically asks of any socioeconomic disadvantage.

I owe a relatively small amount to a college I attended as an undergrad, which I transferred from. I may be able to pay the owed amount by the deadlines for Fall 2014 admissions. Will it reflect poorly on me if I say that, yes, I have a financial obligation there? I did not receive my Bachelors from said college. What does saying yes do, anyway? Will my application be unable to go on?
