Has anyone got any resources explaining this method?  I have googled to no avail.

Space Wrangler (like the Widespread reference) I am also not a student anymore and have wrestled with what to send.  At this time, I don't think there is anything to send unless you have received a promotion.  I would send that updating your file but other than that there is probably nothing that interesting that will sway your app.  I also think getting a letter from a grad does not come in to play until you have been waitlisted and know the school is your top choice.  Just my thoughts but thought they may be helpful.

Yo Bamaboy... I don't know what your numbers are like, but I obviously have a bit of a split.  I've heard people mention addendums to their LSAT scores.  I'm not sure what they're referring to, but I wonder if I should send something like that?  I'm confident that's the only reason I'm still pending.  I'm in-state, have a good GPA, and great W.E. in arms control and nonproliferation.  I just want to send them something reassuring them that my success will not hinge on the results of a 4 hour test I took two years ago.  Does anybody have any thoughts about this?

Elvis, good luck getting tix.  I tried to get some yesterday via the WP site, but could not get through.  I will be buying from Craig's List if I have to though.

I had a split the other way and attached an addendum.  However, I am not sure if it is the kind of thing to send after your application has been complete for over 2 months.  It might look like you are second guessing yourself about it.  Good luck.

Got dinged today from Penn.  Went there undergrad and was deferred early.  That sucks.

Have there been anymore UVA admits this week?  Or should I just go back to moping and being depressed about not hearing anything after 4 months?

I'm having a pity party... wanna come? ;)

I have been having one since I got the deferral in December.

Tousled,
Congrats on your acceptance.  Must be a relief.  Is UVA your #1 out of the schools you have been admitted to?

I agree with Boston24.  They have only rejected a handful of people on LSN and they seem to be auto-rejects.  Based on last years stats, people who were rejected did not usually hear until late March-early April.  The status check system at UVA (and most other schools) does not seem to be an exact science.  I was deferred early and my status has never been reset so whenever I check it still says my decision has been mailed.

I want to make it perfectly clear to everyone that my file at UVA has been complete since 11/12/2004 and they have not yet made a decision. that is all.

I have you beat - November 3.
