Don't go to La Verne...whatever you do. If you check out their bar passage rate from the ABA stats it's something like 30%. Please don't even touch the school.

Apply early though.
TITCR
How early are we talking?
As early as you can. If you have your materials ready, submit them the day they start accepting apps.

I would apply to Penn, Virginia, Michigan, Duke, Cornell, Georgetown, Northwestern, UCLA and Vanderbilt. You could throw in an app at Berkeley and like Columbia just for kicks. I would almost guarantee that you will get into at least one of the previously mentioned schools. Apply early though.

It is with great trepidation that I write the middle post in this craptastic thread. It's been a pain, everybody. See you in Acme Acres.

The fact that you did not get past the receptionist desk is a sign, they're trying to tell you something.....
They are trying to tell you that they are assholes.
The same thing happened to me at a certain school. Im waitlisted there, showed up with a bunch of materials to be added to my file, and politely asked if I could have five minutes of someone's time. They made me wait 10 minutes, and then came out and said no.
I did the same thing at ANOTHER school I'm waitlisted at (that's a bigger reach), and a woman sat down with me for 45 minutes and answered all my questions.
They should be dedicated to the applicants, and they should be willing to meet with someone if it will help them make a decision one way or the other.
And sh*t, you paid 80 bucks to apply.
It tells you something about where their priorities are.
what schools?

so far I've gotten in to 2 out of 9 waitlists, but they were schools where my numbers were pretty good and I was surprised I didn't get in straight away. I haven't heard anything from schools that were reaches. basically if it was a reach when you applied in the first place, it's even more of a reach now. My hope is that come august 15th I can win out by being the only guy willing to move to new york on a day's notice.
Amen, I'm hoping already being within a few hours of UVa and telling them I'll move there whenever the heck they want will help me get in. I'd move there in October if it meant I'd be admitted.
